In the world of today, people are permanently removing trees for their expansion. Human beings are aware they need more land to live but forgetting they need greenery to survive. Trees provide the basic oxygen component and shade from direct sunlight which is irreplaceable. But we are destroying the beautiful balance of the ecosystem and pushing the mother Earth towards its destruction. Can we survive without plantation and greenery? The answer is absolutely no!

Due to the increased deforestation, we are pushing the world towards severe climatic changes, soil erosion, flooding and other intractable problems with an increased rate of global warming. It is the time to stand up and fight for the planet we are living in. With this motto, we are bringing a program that can boost the need for forestation and plantation in our younger generation. We are introducing a fun challenge to motivate them to start thinking about growing plants with a fun-filled experience.

We are using the platform of social media for this challenge where we can reach out to a maximum number of people with our game. The challenge program is that every person participating has to challenge their 5 friends to plant a tree. Once a tree is planted using healthy seed, that participant has to challenge another 5 friends for it.

The chain will be followed through the social media platform. Through this drive, we are trying to balance the ecosystem and encouraging the younger generation to learn the importance of plantation.

FAQ'S

How did Global Arbor get started?

Global Arbor started in January 2019 To help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!. #IAcceptTheGlobalArborChallenge launched publicly on January 2020, announcing itself with a wave of #GlobalArbor videos, and the rest is up to you. Whether you’ve donated to plant one tree, or one million trees, or have simply helped to spread the word, welcome to #GlobalArbor

What does my donation actually go towards?

For every dollar you donate, one tree will be planted in a forest of high need around the globe. It's that simple!

Are donations in my native currency?

All donations to #GlobalArbor are processed in United States Dollar (USD).

Where are the trees being planted?

Trees will be planted in a variety of forests on public and private lands in areas of great need. Many of these forests will be public forestlands managed by government agencies.

Who will plant the trees?

We work closely with professional forestry partners such as the Forest Service, and other government and nongovernmental agencies, to ensure that tree-planting best practices are followed.

When will the trees be planted?

Trees will be planted throughout the year starting in January of 2020 until we achieve our Goal of completely arresting the polution. We treat your donation with the greatest respect.

What species are going to be planted?

Team Global Arbor always emphasizes on planting native species where local conditions and forest plans allow. our motto is to plant the right trees, in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons.

Why are you planting trees instead of preserving ones that already exist?

It is vitally important to protect, manage, and restore forests globally. We are focused on restoration because, according to the National Academy of Sciences, forest restoration has the most global climate mitigation potential compared to all other natural climate solutions.1 Restoring lands through tree planting is our expertise and something we’ve been doing for nearly a decade. There’s no silver bullet for fixing climate change, just silver buckshot, so we should actively pursue many different approaches including both preservation and restoration.

Can planting trees solve climate change?

No, not on its own. Trees are a proven natural climate solution but we need to adhere to the science and attack the problem from many angles at once. #GlobalArbor is planning to plant 1 tree/person in order to
1) be part of the solution,
2) send a strong signal that this massive community cares about the planet we all call home, and
3) Planting trees is a simple solution that everyone can get behind.

This is great! How can I get involved with #GlobalArbor?

Apart from donating, there are a number of ways to help. The best way to support our goal is to tell other people about it — we want everyone to plant trees! Make something creative to spread the word like art, a song, or a video. Don’t forget to include a call-to-action (hint… plant trees), include #GlobalArbor. Help us make this as big as possible. When you see #GlobalArbor videos or live streams or social media content out in the world, do all of us a favor and like/upvote/RT/share/comment. Be generous with your attention and help get the message out.

I’m not signing up for junk mail am I?

No. And we will never sell your data. Many people are requesting updates on our progress, so we will send those (sparingly) if you tell us you want them when you make your donation.
